Duckett Holsteins Announces Summer Selections Sale

Duckett Holsteins has announced the date of their Summer Selections Sale. Duckett Holsteins will offer 50 of their finest and an additioinal 25 consignemnts from other breeders on June 11, 2021. An open house will precede the scheduled evening sale being managed by The Alliance of Hill and Abbott.

Duckett Holsteins has announced their consignment to the Bright Futures Sale. Fraeland Doorman Bonnie EX-94 is being offeired on February 18th. Bonnie has been fresh since March and is ready to be started in a flush program or bred back. Duckett Holsteins has earned 9 All-American Nominations ranging from Nominated All-American Spring Calf, Duckett Doorman Cola-ET, to Nominated All-American Aged Cow, Oakfield GC Darby-ET. Other nominations include Tree-Hayven Tatoo Last Song (Milking Yearling), Duckett Control Buffy (Junior 2-year-old), Duckett Solomon Leta (Senior 2-year-old), and Dream-Team NK Amelia (4-year-old). Congratulations to Duckett Holsteins and partners on their 2020 All-American Nominations!

Holstein Plaza Members earn Top BAA Honors

Holstein Plaza Members Triple-T Holsteins, Duckett Holsteins, and Willows-Edge Holsteins have earned Top BBA Honors from Holstein USA. The Holstein Breed Age Average (BAA%) value provides a way to compare the score of an animal (and herd average) to the average of the breed, taking into account age of the animal and stage of lactation. All animals receive an individual BAA value on your herd classification report, and herds participating in the Classic or Standard options of the Holstein Classification program receive an overall BAA for the herd.

Triple-T Holsteins was ranked 6th overall, 2nd in Region 2, and 5th in the 10-25 cow herd size category. 

Duckett Holsteins was ranked 9th overall, 2nd in Region 5, and 1st in the 51-75 cow herd size category.

Willows-Edge Holsteins was ranked 8th in the 76-150 cow herd size category. 

North American Open Holstein Show Results

The North American Open Holstein Show 2020 is underway at the Pickaway Ag & Event Center in Circleville, OH. All-National Nominations

Holstein Association USA released their All-National Showcase Program which is designed to recognize U.S. Registered Holstein® cows and their owners for exceptional performance at National Holstein Shows. Multiple Holstein Plaza Members and their cows were awarded All-National and Reserve All-National titles and many Members were awarded as Top 10 Honorees.

Oakfield Corners was awarded the All-National Breeder and All-National Exhibitor Titles, as well as earning the All-National Four-Year-Old title with Oakfield WB Tiffany. Tiffany was the Grand Champion Holstein and Supreme Champion Cow at the 2019 All-American Dairy Show in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Oakfield Corners also exhibited the Reserve All-National Summer Junior Two-Year Old title with Oakfield Byway Ms Taboo and the Reserve All-National Senior Three-Year-Old title with Ms Smith-Oak PW D Millie.

Duckett Holsteins also owned multiple All-National and Honoree titles including the Junior Three-Year-Old All-National Title with Fraeland Doorman Bonnie, who was the Honorable Mention Intermediate Champion at the Midwest Spring National Holstein Show.

Other Holstein Plaza members and animals they bred won awards including MD-West-View Genetics, Willows Edge Holsteins, Triple T Holsteins, Midas Touch Genetics, Golden Oaks Farm and Stranshome.

Selling tomorrow in the March Madness Sale, Frederick, Maryland is the December 2015 red O Kalif daughter of 4x All-American nominee Greenlea Advent Leta-Red EX-94 2E. Duckett OKal Leeann-Red sells as Lot 32 with several All-American nominated sisters.

Harvue Roy Frosty Passed

Sad to announce, Harvue Roy Frosty EX-97 2E GMD has passed away at the age of 12 years. Frosty was Supreme Champion at World Dairy Expo in 2009 and 2010 and is a three-time All-American winner. Frosty was Unanimous All-Canadian 5-Year-Old in 2010 and named Intermediate and Reserve Grand Champion of World Dairy Expo 2007. Frosty has left her mark as a brood cow with at least 11 Excellent and 22 Very Good daughters.
